Washington had made many achievements in his lifetime.
Though he came from a wealthy family, Washington wasn't famous from the start. He wasn't thoroughly educated either. He did, however, love surveying, which is what sparked his ambitions and desires for adventure and exploration.
Despite his lack of experience and fairly young age, he accomplished much in the French and Indian War.Even though he couldn't win every battle, Washington played a major role in helping to win the war. Albeit the fact that the battle at Fort Necessity was quite shaky, he kept a level head and still continued to aid the British army in the battles to come in the war. He accomplished very much in the Battle of Monongahela, skillfully leading the army safely back to Virginia after Braddock's defeat.
When the Revolutionary War started, Washington was actually quite glad to take control of the army.He didn't know yet of the battles yet to come, and Washington was still determined to lead the army. He accomplished so much during this time period. He was purposeful and tenacious, strong and unyielding. He never quit. He mentioned quite a few times that he would just rather be back at home, but he still pushed on until it was all over. After the war, he had no problem with resigning his military commission. He wanted to do it. This shocked many people. Even King George III was dumbfounded and moved by this, and he stated, "If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world.

After creating the Cabinet and organizing all the presidential duties for all the presidents to come, Washington was able to calmly put an end to the Whiskey Rebellion. He proved himself worthy of being a fair and trustworthy president. Still, after his second term as president, he had no reason to not give up his power once again. His Farewell Address is one of the most acclaimed and celebrated speeches in history.
